Unlocking Success: The Interplay of Personal Drive, Support, and Environment

Over 20 years spent working in commercial and government sectors, I've observed that individuals, much like outdated computers, are often cast aside. Instead of dwelling on this, I'd like to share my thoughts on human behavior and the factors influencing success in our world.

Success is not solely dependent on your willpower, as popular media like Dr. Phil and Oprah Winfrey shows may suggest. There are three key elements that contribute to success:

  1. Yourself: A significant part of success comes from within.

  2. Other People: Success doesn't happen in isolation; you need the support of others.

  3. Environment: A conducive environment with access to resources like money and education is essential.

It's important to recognize that everyone relies on these three factors to achieve success. The achievements of famous actors and top CEOs demonstrate the importance of luck, support, and the right environment.

Focusing on individuals, let's consider what drives us, how we work, and why we may feel inferior to others. The truth is, everyone has something to offer, and the problem doesn't lie with you. There are three primary drivers behind our actions:

  1. Thinking: Our ideas, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

  2. Wanting: Our desires and aspirations.

  3. Doing: Our skills and capabilities.

To achieve success, you need to have an idea, the will to act on it, the ability to execute it, and access to the resources you need. If you lack some of these components, you must compensate by finding others to help or teach you.

Accepting failure is a step towards future success, while ignoring or dwelling on failure will lead to stagnation or repetition. Don't let anyone convince you that failure is entirely negative or solely your fault.

For example, I had a complete story for a novel called "Craznar Millenium" in my head but lacked the writing skills to bring it to life. I sought help from others, but nobody was interested. My failure resulted from a lack of talent, insufficient resources, and eventually, the loss of will. It wasn't anyone's fault; it simply happened.

After experiencing failure, don't blame yourself, others, or the universe, as blame only perpetuates future failure. Instead, analyze the reasons for your failure, identify which components were lacking, and quickly move on to a new project or idea.

Society efficiently utilizes resources to extract minerals, farm plants and animals, and create impressive structures and systems. However, many people struggle to meet their basic needs or find themselves stuck in unfulfilling lives. The ideas and skills of the majority are wasted due to the false belief that individuals are solely responsible for their own destiny.

Successful people often believe they achieved their goals through their own efforts, which leads them to assume that others fail due to their own shortcomings. The media perpetuates this idea, resulting in a distorted view of individual rights that ultimately harms vulnerable people.

The solution is not complicated and can benefit both individuals and society as a whole. By recognizing the importance of collaboration, embracing failure as a learning experience, and providing opportunities for all to develop and utilize their skills, we can foster a more inclusive and successful society.
